Aluminium Salt Bath Dip Brazing Process.

Aluminium Salt Bath Dip Brazing is a unique process used to join aluminium. The resulting join is strong, continuous and consistent creating a leak tight solution often required when items are to be pressurised, cooled or electronically sealed.

We are experts in producing custom enclosures, chassis, cold plates, liquid-cooled structures, waveguides, and other bespoke items which benefit from the unique nature of the join created by salt bath dip brazing coupled with the lightweight of aluminium.

The process minimises design constraints allowing for complex internal and external structures and enclosures that are EMC sealed and RF leak-free. Aluminium Salt Bath Brazing offers a cost-effective solutions over traditional manufacturing methods resulting in lightweight, rugged, components.

Our solutions are used on Aircraft, Submarines, Fighting Vehicles, Ships, Missile Systems, Radar etc.

The MTI team work closely with design engineers to ensure their mechanical design can be manufactured using the process.

The advantages of Dip Brazing incude:

Dip Brazed Liquid Cooled Structures can take high pressures of 50bar without leakage of fluid.

Enclosures and Chassis are EMC Sealed due to continuous brazed joints.

Low tooling costs.

Modifications can be made easily between Prototypes, Qualification and Production Units.

Dip Brazed Structures can be processed in finishes such as; Alodine, Surtec 650, Iridite NCP, Electroless Nickle, Anodising and Paint.

Heat Exchangers can be built into Enclosures, Chassis and Cold Plates.

Lightweight Aluminium Components can be manufactured using the Dip Brazing Process.

Typical Manufacturing Quantities range from one to several thousand.
