Bill joined MTI Limited in February 1996, as General Manager. During his time as General Manager, Bill restructured the Company to allow further growth to ensure the Company could meet the additional demand for its services and products. Major changes were made in both personnel and equipment. 

 

In 1998, Bill led a Management Buy Out of the Company MTI Limited, and has held the position of Chairman and Managing Director for sixteen years. Since the Buy Out in 1998, Mti’s turnover and profitability has doubled. In this time two satellite factories in the local village of Kings Langley have been purchased and these are fully committed on Major Aerospace Programmes. 

 

Bill served a five year apprenticeship as a Precision Engineer and later joined WVG Engineering in Brentford where he worked on various Aerospace and Defence Programmes. In 1977 he joined ERA Technology to establish a Precision Manufacturing Facility and in the 18 years he was at ERA he grew this facility from ground zero to a multi-million pound organisation. Bill was heavily involved in major Space, Aerospace and Defence Programmes and has extensive experience in Mechanical Design, Design for Production and Manufacturing. 

Paul Adams served a five year mechanical engineering apprenticeship at Mti. After his apprenticeship Paul specialised in CNC Programming and CNC Machining and in 1995 was promoted to CNC Manager. Due to Paul’s excellent performance, Bill Costello invited Paul to join the MBO Team in 1998 which he did. Since 1998 Paul has held the position of Production Director and is responsible for all aspects of manufacture at Mti’s Watford and Kings Langley Sites. 

 

Paul has extensive experience of 3D Programming and the machining of complex aerospace devices such as Aluminium Dip Brazed Enclosures and Liquid Cooled Chassis and Cold Plates. 

 

Paul has a team of forty-five staff and the very latest Manufacturing equipment available. 

John joined Mti in 2005 as Works Manager responsible for Mti’s manufacturing staff and Mti’s monthly Production Output. Recently John’s role has evolved to include Programme Manager for Two Major Aerospace Programmes at Mti, these being: the Boeing Dreamliner and JSF Aircrafts which are both in production at Mti’s Kings Langley Site. In addition to the Programme Manager Role, John is also responsible for Operations at both of Mti’s manufacturing facilities. John also interfaces with the clients on schedules and manages Mti’s major suppliers. 

 

John started his engineering apprenticeship in 1975 and his first position in management was at British Aerospace in Hatfield in 1988, where he managed the Fabrication Facility which manufactured components for Airbus and the British Aerospace 146 Aircraft. After 38 years in engineering, John has extensive experience in all aspects of manufacturing and finishing. 

Andrew completed a five year Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship with Mti in 1997. After completing his apprenticeship Andrew transferred to Mti’s Production Engineering Department and took up the role of Junior Production Engineer. After six years in this role Andrew was promoted to Senior Production Engineer in 2007. 

 

Andrew is responsible for all Production Engineering Activities at Mti which include; Loading and Planning clients Purchase Orders and Purchasing Materials and vital components used in the manufacture of the products that Mti manufacture for our clients. Mti use the Prodman Computer Management System for all manufacturing activities. 

 

As Mti’s core business is Aerospace and Defence, Andrew’s role at Mti is an extremely important one. 

Clive joined Mti in 1995 from BAE Systems. During his time at Mti Clive has built an impressive Quality Department that is equipped with the latest measuring equipment. The Quality Department has a team of staff dedicated to ensuring that the highest level of quality is achieved on all hardware that Mti manufactures for its clients. As Mti’s Quality Manager, Clive is responsible for all quality matters and personnel at the companies Watford and Kings Langley sites. 

 

During the last nineteen years Clive has been solely responsible for Mti obtaining all the necessary Aerospace and Defence Quality Accredatations leading to the current prestigious AS 9100 Revision D & ISO 9001:2015 Accreditations. 

Clive has extensive experience in manufacturing and is Mti’s principal contact for our clients Quality Control Departments.
